The Manchester Science Olympiad teams had a very successful State tournament yesterday at Purdue University. Manchester has been sending a team to the State competition for 20 years, and in that time our best overall finish was 7th and 14th for the Jr High and High School teams, respectively. Yesterday the Jr High team tied their best-ever finish at 7th overall, missing getting in the top 5 and on the podium by a mere 13 points. The C Team placed 10th overall, making Manchester a top-10 team at the State level for the first time in history. Considering that 90% of the teams were from 4A schools, this is no small feat.
